For more than a year we’ve been focused on expanding the reach, content, and monetization opportunities of Android Market. We started by extending the store to users on the web and then went on to add books, movies, and music. Google Play is built on the same infrastructure as Android Market, so the transition for users and developers will be seamless. Users can sign into their existing accounts with the same credentials as before and purchase content using the same payment methods. As a developer, there’s no change needed to your published products and you can continue to use the same publishing tools to put your app in front of hundreds of millions of Android users. If your app was in Android Market yesterday, it’s in Google Play today.

We’ll be rolling out Google Play to devices in a phased OTA update, starting today and continuing over the days to come. With the update, the Android Market app will upgrade to the Play Store app and the Music, Videos, and Books apps will upgrade to Play Music, Play Movies, and Play Books. This update is for devices running Android 2.2 or higher, and users on other devices will continue to have the same access to your apps as before.

Updated CyanogenMod source – version 7.2.0 RC1.
Cherry-picked various patches from gerrit to fix issues with core binaries/libraries (dalvik, bionic, zlib, etc.).
Kernel: updated europa-battery, pmem, fsa9280, android staging drivers.
Kernel: reduce minimum CPU scaling frequency to 122Mhz (to see if sleep of death occurs with the new wireless driver).
Wifi: using AR6kSDK.3.0_RC.298 source with patches to allow usage of Samsung’s firmware blobs, disable WoW (Wake on Wlan), and fix a certain case in which the driver blocks suspend. Note: the newest driver from freescale (AR6kSDK.3.1_RC.563) is not stable with our phone. This can’t be fixed easily, as the problem appears to be within the new proprietary firmware blobs, which is something I can’t fix. In the meantime, this driver should work well (and hopefully without any sleep of death issue).
dhcpcd: patches to optimize dhcp requests for Atheros AR6003. This improves connection/reconnection speed and reliability.
libhardware_legacy: increase wifi loader timeout from 1 second to 5 seconds. This ensures that the wireless driver is given time to settle before the first scan occurs.
wpa_supplicant_6: wait for control interface monitor to be brought up before starting. Improves reliability of wireless when reconnecting from idle.
libaudio: fix for minimum in-call volume being incorrectly muted in certain cases (including on speakerphone); fix FM audio when using no-microphone headphones.
Switched to OuNao’s open libsensors – completely fixes accelerometer lag.
Switched to “g5sensord”, Ounao’s open memsicd replacement based on freescale’s eCompass code – more battery efficient than proprietary memsicd daemon.
GPS: use worldwide SUPL server by default. Initial reports indicate that people are having better connectivity with this setup overall.
Compcache: back to 18%.
ADWLauncher: lock action buttons by default (helps avoid cases in which users accidentally detach the icons for these buttons).
Change scrolling cache setting to further improve scrolling speed.
Disable automatic brightness setting by default. Our phone has no light sensor, and I suspect that the software implementation may be causing battery drain.

2. Check up with their program policies. If it is compatible with you then fill their online form. Check your e-mail, as you will be asked to confirm your e-mail address. Within 2-3 days you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration.
3. Then you can log in your account in order to obtain an HTML code generated for you by Google adsense.
4. Put this code on your website. This code will generate ads on your site which will be labeled as 'ads by Google' or a Google search engine or both depending on the option you have chosen while filling the form
5. You can choose the type of ads you want to display on your website to certain extent. For e.g.: You can prevent your competitor's ads from appearing on your site by setting up filters.
6. You can customize the appearance of the ads so that it matches your site by changing the background color, font size and type etc.
So if you currently own a blog or a website Google ad sense is a good way to earn some revenue. Google matches the keywords of your site with the keywords appearing in the sponsored ads. It then places the ads matching with the content of your site. Thus the visitors on your site act as a highly targeted audience for these ads. These are the very group of people who would be interested in these ads. Every time an 'ad by Google' is clicked by a visitor on your site, you earn a commission. The amount of commission you earn per click can vary from 0.05$ to 30 $ a click. Thus everyone benefits. The website owner who has put up these ads earns money as the visitors on his site click these ads. The websites whose ads are clicked obtain more traffic. How well optimized is your site: It your site is well optimized i.e. if the keywords you have used in your site exactly match with the contents of the ads placed on your site, the ads placed on your site are sure to get a large number of clicks. For e.g.: Imagine a situation in which you sell flowers on your site and you have used the keywords as flowers and butterfly while optimizing your site. When you place Google adwords, ads dealing with butterflies may also appear on your site. People visiting your site are interested in buying flowers and not butterflies. Thus it is unlikely that they are going to click the ads dealing with butterflies. Thus in this case since your site is not well optimized, you don't get many clicks.
